Kishanganj district is a district in the Indian state of Bihar. The headquarters of the district is Kishanganj. Kishanganj was earlier a subdivision of Purnia district. The Bihar government declared it a full-fledged district on 14 January 1990. This district is situated near the border of Nepal. The district shares borders with the states of West Bengal and Assam.
